Look at What God is Doing!

For many, it's hard to imagine something that you have never seen or experienced. Likewise, it's important to see for yourself the results of your giving and prayers. Working with mission organizations such as NEI, individually-led ministries, various churches of many different denominations, dedicated Christian Honduran locals, and many, many, many more, needs are being met, the Gospel is being spread, and lives are being changed every single day.  Below are just a few of many examples of what God is doing!

One very important note: NEVER think anything is about anyone other than Jesus Christ!

All the glory and honor goes to Him alone!

Reaching the unreached!
Here am I Lord, send me!
Suffer little children to come unto me
Meeting physical and spiritual needs.

Sharing the GOSPEL!

The most important, and most joyful part, is the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Whether it is teaching children, one-on-one interactions through service,  or (SO MANY TIMES) random encounters with people that Almighty God has directly put in the "right place at the right time," seeing another living soul give their heart to Christ is something that words spoken or typed can not adequately express.

"Hogar de Bedicion"
("Home of Blessing")

One of the most beautiful opportunities to see God at work daily is a ministry called, "Hogar de Bedicion," or in English, "Home of Blessing." Two very dear Honduran friends (or rather family) spend their lives completely dedicated to feeding, clothing, and teaching children in extreme poverty. For many of these children, they are step-in parents. Never will you ever witness two more Godly people love more than these two. Not to mention, their own children are actively and equally dedicated to showing God's love in every single way. Through support from people like you, God continually blesses and through the calling placed on their lives, children in need receive full bellies, needed clothing, and most importantly, they learn about Christ through service and education.  For us, this is our family, and for many children, they are their only hope.

Would you trade places?
But for the Grace of God, it could be you or I...
"Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would have my own home..."
There is NO ONE that God can not use!

The "Jelly Houses"

One of the most incredible acts of service that has profoundly changed the lives of many families for nearly two decades is what is called "The Jelly Houses." If you ever think to yourself, "What can I do to make a difference, or what worth do I possibly have," let me tell you about "Aunt Connie." God put on the heart of a  simple, elderly lady to serve him in a manner that she can do best. Make jelly. Through many donations of items such as sugar, jars, a bucket of plums, or a bag of peaches, Aunt Connie spends much of her time in her "Golden Years" making jelly. She sells it at farmers markets, fair grounds, at church, and in several local stores. And through that simple act of service, and the "neighborly" giving of many people,  God has used what we would see as "little," and has turned it into exceedingly and abundantly more than anyone could dream.

Make no mistake; TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY (and she will VERY QUICKLY tell you that), but to hear someone say, "Never would I have ever dreamed of having a real home," and seeing the tears in the eyes of grown men that sees just exactly what our Almighty Father can do with a "simple jar of jelly" is breathtaking to say the least.  If you ever think God could not possibly use you for whatever excuse you can think of, the next time you eat a biscuit, remember what He has done with a willing heart and some jars of jelly!

Meeting Physical Needs

So many times, it's extremely hard to explain with words something that hasn't been seen to the average person. Even pictures do not do justice to understanding just how incredibly blessed most of us are. Try to imagine your own life with things such as basic clothing, access to clean water, or even the inability to get headache medicine. Worse still, imagine putting a child to bed that hasn't eaten (sometimes for days) and being able to do NOTHING to comfort them. Meeting the basic needs of people in extreme poverty is not just important—it's life changing for the giver and reciever! It makes a huge difference, lifting them out of hardship and restoring their dignity and hope. It allows for opportunities to build trust and form relationships with others that have no cultural connection with an outsider. When we are able to provide essentials like food, shelter, and healthcare, we’re opening doors for them to not only hear the Gospel, but allow continual discipleship by local Christians.

On a personal note: It took only one time to see and hold a child starving, suffering from injury or disease, or malnourished, for me to hit my knees and thank our Heavenly Father for all of my uncounted, unnoticed, and unappreciated blessings on me. But for the Grace of God, it could have been my own children...

But for the grace of God
It could have been my child
Love thy NEIGHBOR as thyself
There are no words
Feed the children
We have no understanding of the meaning of the word "hungry"
Love is a universal language
Imagine sleeping on a bed made of cardboard boxes and feed sacks...

One Lord; One Body; Many Parts!

As Christ-Followers, there is one thing that connects us all, and it is the only thing that truly matters: THE GOSPEL! It is unchangeable, infallible, man can't change it, evil can't stop it, and it is the ONLY WAY!

Apart from our own ministry calling, we work along side, or provide other supports, for our brothers and sisters in Christ serving the Lord! We encourage you to support them and always constantly pray for them!

Through NEI and their partnered church, Bro. Tony has developed strong relationships with local Christian and civil leaders to ensure that as desperate physical needs are met, the Gospel is shared and new believers are DISCIPLED!

NEI serves churches and individuals in leading short term mission trips to assist in work that is constantly taking place.

Providing medical needs, food, shelter, and ministering spiritually to those in extreme rural poverty is the area in which they serve the Lord. Pray for them without ceasing.

Bro. Don and his wife Patsy are missionaries in the Santa Barbara area where they house over 20 children. To those young people, they are their parents. They provide needed care, shelter, food, and education to "their kiddos."

Those with Go Forth Ministries are also church planters; and daily bring the Gospel to each person they meet.

They serve the Lord as permanent missionaries and have been doing so for decades. Pray for them without ceasing.

Denys and Yoli are more than friends; they are family. Locals and lifelong residents of their community, God has called them to a life of service that He has daily blessed beyond measure.

Along with their personal children, these precious souls provide meals, clothing, education, and most Importantly, teach the Gospel to nearly 100 children; most of which would go hungry without them. They love each child as their own, and truly love like Jesus. Pray for them without ceasing.
