Hello!
My name is Jason, and this is my story...

"My first trip to Honduras was in 2018. I had no idea what was waiting on me and I really did not know why I wanted to go at the time. I just felt God calling me to go, so I went. Words can’t describe how you feel when you are there. I was told by our leader Tony Luke during this trip, that there are two types of people that go to Honduras on mission trips. People that will never come back again and people that will go back every year they can. I fell it into the group that comes back every year.
We always go to minister, build churches, houses, give out food, clothing, and medicines, but I am always blessed far more than anything I do there.
One trip that sticks out the most was right after Covid travel restrictions were lifted. We were high in the mountains in the community of Buena Vista. A lady approached us and said her brother kicked her out of her house and threatened to physically harm her with a machete. Our group leaders spoke to him and invited him to church a few days later. A hurricane had washed the local church down the mountain and all that was left was a carved out place on the side of the mountain. The local pastor, Pastor Santos still continued to praise God and have church there. A few days after the machete incident, the young man walked several hours down the mountain to where we were having church and gave his life to Jesus!! It was a glorious day and the devil lost another one that day on a washed out place where a church once stood.
This reminded me that the Church is not the building like we are we are used to with all of the comfort and amenities, but the Church is wherever the people gather together to worship! I will go back to Honduras every year that I am breathing air and hope to take make three boys with me one day."
